Pretty much this. Plenty of douches get that they are one by most of our ages. They're just psychologically ill adapted to deal with it. Which can make for a fun time

Not that I'm in a hotel van often (humble brag) but....yeah I look at the weather and release before hand. Not sure if our system is unique but we can have the release emailed to us automatically when it's generated.
Do you want to be the guy that shows up at the plane with 45 mins to go and the route is jacked up, the fuel is insufficient, the MEL list is extensive and now you get to process that all at once, or take the 10 mins beforehand to at least see what you're getting into? Oh look they have us filed right up and airway between the DR and NY that has a massive storm system...realizing that at the last minute is a rookie/lazy move sorry. Cause now you're scrambling to get new routing that will invariably require more gas, a new release etc. All of which could have been seen and had the process started earlier. But hey, if you like jamming yourself up have at it, hopefully me and my family aren't on your flights.

No such reg for us. I have a company backup battery and we have EFB outlets in the cocky-pit.

Well we do, but the FOM only says 'should' be charged to 80%...so we don't.

I flew with a guy that had -- and, I would imagine, still has -- full sleeves. He wore long sleeves year round, commuting from Florida, and flying the dreaded CRJ-200. I respected his passion for his tattoos, but damn(!) he must've been dying in the summer!
