Agree. 757 is hands down, the best looking modern jetliner in service, but the 220 is pretty, in similar (scaled smaller) ways

I always thought the 727 was a more natural-looking 3-engine bird. The DC-10 looks like it has an add-on engine in comparison.Don't ruin my fantasy
Also yeah, the DC10/MD-11 is a pretty slick (and nowadays unique) aircraft......I still stand by 75 though

Aft galley Brasilias had a hatch to get between the pit and the cabin. The forward F/A seat in these aft galley birds, if not stowed properly, would pop down and block the door from opening externally, thus is was fairly common for pilots to walk into the break room or otherwise grab a ramper and ask us to get into the cabin and pop the door open for them. But the multipurpose hatch was also good for scaring the crap out of cool F/As you knew and was also used as an escape hatch at least once.
I think I've mentioned this on JC before, but one time I had heard over the radio that ops was to inform the F/O that they had extended him, but the plane didn't call 10 out. So the ops agent was down at the gate hanging out with us saying she had a message to the F/O from dispatch. So plane parks, I drive up the belt loader and the other ramper opens the pit and gets in, then out comes the F/O, with all his crap, just says "whats up guys", walks down the belt loader, around the tail, and into the abyss like the magnificent bastard that he was. An MFR turn ended up canceling, but I was more than impressed. I have heard of very similar stories involving DHC-8s.
The F/O in question is still a CA there last I checked, he had a class at AA at one point years ago so I'm sure there is an amazing story as to why he isn't there.

The original "new" colors, with the "Federal Express" branding below the titles. I think the callsign changed from "Express" to "FedEx" at the time of this mid-90s rebranding, too.
