This looks kinda formal. I'm not on LinkedIn so missed it.

This just appeared:

Due to increased demand and growth, Spirit is actively recruiting Australian nationals under the E3 visa. This position with Spirit allows for you, your spouse and children under the age of 21 to obtain an E3 visa and migrate with you to the United States.

  • Spirit will cover the full cost of your FAA ATP conversion
  • Spirit will cover the cost of your A320 type
  • Spirit will provide the necessary documentation for your E3 visa

Dead quiet. Has Frontier made any intentions for Spirit in terms of upping their offer to compete with JetBlue? What are you guys hearing from management at NK?

no body knows anything, and if they say they do they are full of s**t.

my opinion: Indigo Investments (who could buy AA tomorrow with they change in their pockets) is the ultimate X factor...do they want it, they'll have it, if not NK goes away and becomes B6

tin foil hat conspiracy...F9, NK and B6 are all talking for something major...

Just wanted to pop in to say that I experienced my first Spirit flight the other day. Gate/boarding area was the expected insanity. But the flight crew was absolutely top notch and over-accommodating. I was up to my eyeballs in fudge brownie M&Ms and Pringle’s and got a chance to chat with the pilots for a while. Salt of the earth!

The free in flight entertainment is our passengers. I was dead heading with the CA and a boarding passenger saw us in the back and said “damn, we got two extra pilots, this plane safer than a mfer” but said the actual word. He was really loud. I love it.

It's always interesting watching the boarding process at the gate....
it's like culling of the sheep when pax have carry-ons that aren't in zone 1. they get told to step to the side.
like sheep to the slaughter when they get told to pay the bag fee, i didn't know about paying for bags, all sorts of reasons about why they shouldn't have to pay for their bag.

but the bag fees mean overhead bins are never full even when there are 228 passengers stuffed in the cabin like sardines and you can always find room in the overhead bin walking on last right as they close the cabin door..
