Spirit and Frontier to Merge

I don’t want to point fingers or tell management how to run this place, but there are a few people seemingly intent on ruining this place and not much consequence for them when they act like idiots.

This…isn’t a lot of fun anymore.
Says the guy that uses homoerotic euphemisms as insults to other members.

The lack of self awareness in this post is astounding.

I hope this works out for you guys. I’m assuming this will result in less routes being flown to places like Vegas ?
They claim that one of the main reasons for the merger is to be able to add frequency to cities both airlines already serve. This will help out in IROP situations to allow passengers to have multiple flights to be rebooked on. For example. Spirit does LAS-DEN 2x per day, F9 does it 4x a day. so we'll essentially have much more operational reliability with the increased frequency. Their words, not mine.
I bet the opposite. Number one, Franke loves Vegas. Everyone loves Vegas. Let's say Cedar Rapids has a Frontier flight 2x a week and a spirit 3x a week. Now it'll just be a daily flight, like most other airlines.

Despite sharing a lot of Cities, there isn't a huge amount of Route Overlap, I expect a lot of Frontier Cities to eventually goto daily service, and popular routes gain frequency. There are A LOT of airplanes on order too, Both Airlines have a combined 350 Planes on order and well they are gonna have to fly them somewhere!

Same. Right now Frontier loves the through flights (MCO-CID-LAS) with like 3x/week service. It costs a fortune when the operation breaks down (frequently). With the coverage of the Combined Entity (tm) there will probably be enough traffic to increase frequency.

Just tell them to please please please grow DFW a hair.

That route map has to be one of the biggest disappointments out of all of this for me.

Don't get excited about the South America stuff, it's all redeye turns :P

We also have that…. Why not depart Guatemala City at 3am? At least in SJU there’s (almost) nothing to run in to.

So, you're saying there's a chance?

Younger pilot group of a growing airline, I’m not surprised. Add in some stagnation and everyone getting some grey hairs, maybe add in a downgrade or merger, and they’ll be no different.
Well that’s an unfair generalization. It’s a great group all the way around and always has been.

I went to Spirit at age 49. I had my career stagnated for 10 years, was furloughed, upgraded, downgraded 8 months later and finally upgraded 4 days before the strike.

I always show up for work with a smile on my face and in my heart and it stays that way, even now as I am nearing another significant birthday.
