It’s usually something like that.

I used to be on ProPilotWorld before it turned into alt.right.redneck, and it was always amusing how the chodes that only flew 91/135 their entire careers made all kinds of fantastical claims about airline pilots. They refused to listen to the numerous other pilots like myself that have experience in all three facets of professional aviation.

There are some good 91/135 pilots for sure, but there are an incredible amount of mediocre ones that know they can hide out in that corner and get away with sub-par performance and/or questionable backgrounds.

As a result, that group is INCREDIBLY insecure with predictable results…. Like blaming some other group for their problems.

Oh, there’s much more to that character, and his brothers (both the pilot and the non-pilot) but I won’t type it out here.

Sort of like a fire at a fireworks factory, it is hard to look away - best to distance yourself from the blast radius.
 
Me, my GAF, and my social media presence when my F/O tells me about this clown and I recall reading this thread....

Oh its a good netflix show for sure. Somewhere along the lines of Tiger King meets Aviation meets religion.
 
No more than we like his generalized comments about 121 pilots, please don’t lump this guy into the same basket as all other Christians. This guy is really lost right now. Know this: he, like all of us will answer for all we do.

There is a tendency to compare a proclaimed Christian with perfection. Some people will sit in the fringes, wait, and watch ready to “pounce” at every mistake made. Like everyone here and all over the world, we all make mistakes. Granted some of them manifest themselves into a literal mountain, like this guy, “Coursey” (or whatever his name really is).

Don’t get me wrong, this guy is tool and a blight on everything he touches; Christianity is just ONE of them. First an embarrassment to himself, and then, in no particular order; Christians, YouTubers, Facebookers, pilots of every level and profession, humans, etc. etc. etc.

I wonder how many remember when he started the PJP mutual fund, where he got stupid pilots to give him money in hopes of getting rich. The guy will rot in hell, whether he believes in it or not.

Sometimes I miss PJP. All these stupid losers who called themselves CEOs of the LLCs they created, just to sound like ballers And entrepreneurs. They all personified exactly what you would expect from 134.5 pilots.

I left PJP when it was fairly new, and there was a crew that posted a video of them doing donuts and other stupid things in a rental car. I knew then that group was not for me.

One of the admins there has a photo of a GTI 747 cockpit for a profile pic. Wonder how he feels about 121 pilots being lambasted as a group policy?
 
i also remember when he and his brother went to Lear recurrent. He posted a selfie video of him wearing headphones listening to music and being a jerk to the instructor. I seriously can’t believe that guy is still allowed to fly airplanes.
 
Bear with me here: curiosity has driven me to research Coursey. I found his arrest record and photo and several (way to many, BTW) photos in and with planes and helicopters. So I know I’m dealing with the same guy. However, I’m not finding him in the FFA (I know!) database. I find a Coursey with the middle name of “William” that lives on the same block as the “Phoenix“ Coursey that was arrested, but not the guy we’re discussing here.

“William” has a PPL only.

I looked up mine just to see how far out of date their system is and mine is up to date as of July of this year. Hmmmm…….

Legal name is what would be on the paperwork related to his arrest.

Phoenix is a moniker he gave himself. He has a relative by the same name in the industry, so I’d guess he adopted that name because of the mythology/ biblical meaning or to distinguish the two of them from one another.

To be fair I searched for myself in the database and it took me quite a while to find me stuff. I only found it when I did a search for my certificate number.

Some sites also use older databases, so even if you've hidden your info, it may popup elsewhere.
