Completely pointless for the US. The only countries I know of that did that (and I’ve personally been operating in many of them) stopped COVID very early on.
Anyone that is blaming illegal immigrants for the COVID situation is 100% doing it as a political grandstanding stunt.
The ONLY good plan for the US is to get people vaccinated. Of course, the morons that won’t get vaccinated are quite hilariously blaming immigrants for COVID rates.

In the greater Houston area many of our ICU’s are full with largely non vaxed covid patients. And non-covid patients requiring emergency care are going to get screwed...@Derg has given personal testimony to this.
If you’re blaming immigrants for this—especially if you live 2000 miles from the border—you can eat the fattest bag of phalluses. Get •ed.

Is it really THAT baffling though? These are largely the same people who think Trump actually won the election, and that the good people of January 6th were merely tourists.
It’s why I personally think full FDA approval isn’t going to do jack squat for these invalids. They can’t be reached. They aren’t worth reaching.

It seemed to help Australia and New Zealand, although their immigration policies are certainly much more restrictive than ours. I still daydream about retiring in New Zealand, although I'm not sure they'd let me legally immigrate there regardless of my vaccination status. You can't plan travel to either country with a one way ticket, they don't want anyone coming in and being a burden rather than a benefit to their smallish societies. Why would they do that? It's so unfair.

New Zealand has a universal healthcare system. Immigrant retirees would likely burden that system.
Can they resign if they don’t want the flu vaccine? That’s mandatory also.

Agreed, but it will give companies and other entities that are/will be requiring vaccinations more legal ground to stand on when it comes to vaccination mandates. I’m sure some of these “invalids” will just suck it up, as their income or freedom of movement is more important than their personal beliefs.
It will also make it harder politically/socially to justify one’s actions based on the excuse of “emergency authorization”.
Even if it only gets 5% more of the population vaccinated, that’s a win.
Pretty easy. A vaccinated workforce is a reliable workforce.
An airline I know very well had a measles outbreak in NYC because everyone’s unvaccinated delicate sea creature child that wasn’t vaxed because spokesmodel and NotADoctor Jenny McCarthy said vaccines were causing Downs Syndrome eventually grew up and became flight attendants.
So there were a bunch of FA’s without MMR vaccines traveling all around the world then BAM, measles outbreak.
We’re required to have a Yellow Fever vaccine, even if you have no plans to fly to a country that requires it because of risk of exposure. THe risk of exposure of COVID is literally worldwide and you think they *wouldn’t* eventually require a COVID19 vax?
