i wouldn't consider a day on call and not getting called a 'day off'
If you have to know where your phone is, and answer it, you’re at work.

Hard no, Squirrelly Dan?

while i get that, i think if you cant pack up and go somewhere and are tied to a leash it's not a day off. I love reserve days where i can sit at home and not do anything, but i'm still on a leash so i consider it work.2 types of people. People who think it’s work to be on call and not get called and people who think it’s a day off when they don’t get called.
If I can get work done around my house and not go to work, that’s a day off. To each their own.
no, i don't think i did.So you missed the point then, neat
this, although you know we don't have to answer our phones, but still on a leash. If you have to know where your phone is, and answer it, you’re at work.![]()
while i get that, and i enjoy the same on the months i'm on the line; but it's disingenuous to count those as 'days off'True. And it’s not. It just feels that way. Living 20-25 minutes from the airport, I can still take the kid to school and drop off, pick up, take the other kid to the library or some play area. Come home, do stuff with kids, homework, etc. if the phone rings of course I gotta go. But until then, it feels like I’m off.
With 102 hrs, I make more in one month than I did my entire year as a 1st yr CRJ FO. Insane to think about, looking back.
we can on long call, but not short call. same concept though with being tied to a leash. If I can’t crack a beer it’s not a day off.

right. I'd just equate it me basically saying i'm going to credit close to 1300 hours in 2019 in the training department while having blocked under 150 hours and coming up with some super inflated "pay per block hour" rate. The great thing here is that we are both right and neither of us has to be wrong. Hard to find in today’s world Haha

I have 2, about to be 3.Pack up and go on weekdays? You don’t have kids do you?
And I didn’t say it’s a day off. I said it feels that way when I’m not used.
You should try it some timeI don’t drink![]()

Half the time.Second one is much easier. And I noticed the life of the first one improved with more interaction.
Did you just try to flex? But you can’t pick up open time on reserve days off above guarantee right? At AS on short call reserve guarantee is 79 hrs but for November I picked up a 4-day trip on days off that credits 23 hrs do my monthly pay is now 102.
Can that be done at F9/NK?
