Skywest Questions

Congrats?? Really wish you guys would have no voted and held out for more, but especially from the FO side I understand that those rates look a lot better than the current ones. I wonder if any airline will match EDV anytime soon??
Weren't many yes voters here, I think I saw a few post. No QOL improvements and they tell the pilot group we are being paid more than Endeavor if you include our bonuses. Then again I did vote no last time because they removed them, but I'd happily remove them if they offered Endeavor rates. Oh well, what can you do. How long until the sign on bonus starts....

About what I expected. As a pilot group the only thing we agree on is more money, and with keeping the bonuses and the new rates they did that. Not as much as some people would have liked, but enough.

Paid for by the XJT contract negotiators.

SKW pilots require re-indoctrination about their strongly negative impact on the industry.

Signed, rehabilitated SKW pilot.

Being a little harsh, maybe?? Granted that we ought to have voted ALPA in yesterday, but FWIW I don't fault anyone for voting on the new pay rates. When a pilot group lags so far behind, it cannot afford to turn down offered money.

I don’t disagree with this. Take the money. But if you don’t then immediately turn around and vote in ALPA, then you deserve any scorn you receive. And since this has happened already numerous times over the years, I’d say any scorn is already earned at this point.

The non-union pilots are the reason for a whole lot of what has gone on at the company for many years.
Well, I've never had the chance to vote on a Union sadly. I get the anger with SkyW for their history, just don't understand why pilots go after pilots for most things out of my control. I would never wish that on someone, then again I haven't gone through what those guys on the other hand have. So now I'm just armchairing it.

From my understanding ALPA is taking a slow and cautious approach to even let us vote...

I cannot speak for others, but I would still vote yes to an ALPA drive even if we had gotten Endeavor or better. The last two pay turds have irrevocably rubbed me the wrong way; the damage is already done. Whatever money is offered to us today, is done so because the execs at last came to realize how greedy they had been. They are not offering money out of good will, but because their ill decision-making led to attracting less newhires.
