Antisocial Monster
You know, United dropped their discount to the NRA, but I don’t see everyone jumping in them for doing it. They even did it before Delta did.
Bad things happen when people attack Untied.

4. "It occurred to me and my wife that this is terribly unfair to single parents. ... Imagine your child coming home sick from school, no fault of your own. You are faced with calling in sick thus losing your 'chance' at a bonus or leaving your child/children home alone to care for themselves. What a terrible situation United has put that person in." --First Officer - B-767/B-757
Why is this so hard of a concept for propel to understand.
The proper equation is that United also dropped NRA. Without the backlash from the state government, at least so far.Equating those two is not even close.

True. I suppose most people just think of United as a northern airline, so it’s expected behavior. An airline from Chicago hating the NRA is no big news. Delta, on the other hand, is generally thought of as a southern company, so we expect better of them on this sort of thing.
Just because you expect them to follow on your principles doesn't mean they're "better."

Meh. Ending a rarely utilized (very very very rarely) small discount to an organization that has transformed from a respectable advocacy group into a Breitbart propaganda machine is fine with me. I mean, you'd think Ed Bastian himself is coming for your guns based on some of the reaction to this.
This is what I brought up in another thread. I think if they just ended it quietly and Ed didn’t go on Twitter, this wouldn’t have been an issue at all. Everyone was jumping on the anti-NRA bandwagon and he thought it was a good idea too.Why didn't they just end it quietly and with no public statement about it? Since hardly anyone was using it anyway.
I think because many companies including airlines we’re being asked about their relationship w the NRA.Why didn't they just end it quietly and with no public statement about it? Since hardly anyone was using it anyway. No one would've noticed and there likely wouldn't have been any controversy at all.
That they felt compelled to make a public statement about it, made it political.

Let's boycott FedEx!!!*Then their best answer would have been something similar to FedEx's.
