United gets rid of bonuses for lottery giveaways. ..

I would so love to have been a fly on the wall in the exec meetings that dreamed this up and approved it.
“What do our employees want most? Money? Benefits? Time off? Naw, I know, MAKE THEIR WHOLE EMPLOYMENT LIKE A GAME SHOW!!!”

Between this and Delta's NRA blunder, it seems like airline management is competing for the dumbest business decision of the year award or something.

I love how standing up for principles is now considered a blunder. And people wonder what’s wrong with society.

Every time it seems like UA is taking strides toward being a better airline, they trip over themselves.

I was starting to get over my hatred of United lately too after getting a surprisingly good flight and connection home out of Fresno, but their management continues to find new ways to make me do my damndest to avoid them. With all the flak that Delta's getting I'm a bit upset at them, but their underlying product's too good for me to ever really overlook them.

And there again United proves to the world that they really can continue making one bad decision after another, it's basically the 1980's USAir.
