NKS TA released

I was once a mod at APC. Co-owner was a UPS pilot. They sold out to internet brands which owns a bunch of forums like flyer talk. Went downhill from there and any attempt to promote civility was useless. Then it got worse....

I may just be completely making this up but I seem to remember the guy who created it died in a crash (midair I think?) and someone else (his brother?) took it over. After that it got really negative and went downhill and a few of the members decided they should charge money for a place where they could keep the lowly amateurs out and... Well... If you can't say anything nice.

Then I found JC and it was like night and day.

I don't miss avbug, but I sure miss Duke Elegant.

Yep, all true. I don’t think even the brother owns it now, though. Someone else bought it a few years ago I think. I actually kind of liked Avbug. Long winded, yes, but he knew some stuff.

From a Spirit person, I think we got as much as we could have expected in one shot. In the future we will continue to get closer to legacy rates especially if future staffing issues demand it but I would much rather be paid 15-20% less than a legacy pilot for now and not the 70% less that we were being paid.

Ours put an amendment on the table to pay for spouse travel business class when officers go overseas on "business travel". Oh and the guys voting on it are the ones who it will apply to. Our chair submitted $20,000 reimbursement for his wife to travel with him to Australia.

The idea of a union isn't bad but they get just as corrupt as government does.

It's too bad our company website has an entire tab "About Unions" that just rip on Unions and why they are so awful. :eek2:

This is why union officers need adult supervision. ALPA provides that through senior staff. Independent unions do not.
