No matter how much time you have in the RJ, the autopilot has more time than you, but lucky for you they're not trying to hire one.
I'm saying not to sell yourself short with "I flew an RJ like everyone else, hire me!" as that will likely get you nowhere. There has to be more to you than the 5 to 7k hours you spent in an RJ. You might be just as qualified as anyone else but if you can't show that you also have passion, that you're three dimensional, then you're going to be beaten out by someone who can.
Its not meant to be negative, I'm saying this as someone who sat through a few interviews and hired a few pilots. Nowhere close, let's be honest, than a place like Delta has, well, this year. But a good few.
