Skywest Questions

So if I bid for TDT at a base, what does that mean exactly? Does that mean I am awarded a line that is temporary or temporarily put on reserve? Please don't direct me to the SAPA website because I can't even log in. Thanks.

It's called a "temporary domicile transfer".

Basically, it is as simple as it sounds. You could be awarded a temporary domicile transfer to another domicile due to someone upgrading, transitioning, FMLA, military, etc.

If awarded a TDT you will be treated as being permanently based there in accordance with your seniority (reserve, lineholder, per diem, hotels, etc.) until the individual you are filling for is able to hold the position/base again.

I have seen them award very few on the CRJ and cannot even recall if anyone has ever got one on the ERJ.

Indeed. They are exceptionally rare and currently limited to staffing short-term vacancies due to short-term leaves. Note that training is NOT a reason that a TDT may be awarded under the current language.
