The base I'm in, never is a good guess. The same could probably be said for the CRJ here as well.
Never been based in ORD but it always strikes me as one of our more "fun" bases. I love MSP, as well.Yup. As a west coaster, I don't expect to come back once I upgrade. I plan on just moving to ORD and slugging it out for a few years.
ORD is a great place to play/explore/pretend to do the urban lifestyle thing. What it's like to live or fly there, couldn't tell ya.Never been based in ORD but it always strikes me as one of our more "fun" bases. I love MSP, as well.

As cluster....effy as ORD is, I can't say I've had this one...crossing runways without clearances,?

When I first started it seemed like we crossed 32L a couple times without a clearance but since it's been changed to 33 they seem to have cracked down on it. But I could also be misrememberingAs cluster....effy as ORD is, I can't say I've had this one...
Anyone else wondering if PDX will open up a bit this next bid? I know three got in and now I'm number four, but after June many guys are no longer equipment locked and a ton of guys want PDX ERJ that are currently CRJ. Starting to wonder if I should just make myself home in SEA for a while..
A slight chance, but don't hold your breathe
I feel like this when I wonder if I'll have to sit reserve 1500 miles away from home...
Truth, not a rumor.I have been hearing rumors of SkyWest purchasing training aircraft to start training cadets.... I'm thinking that is just a fabricated rumor but thought I'd ask on here. If true, what exactly are they planning on doing. Taking people zero to hero within the company. Ratings then CFI until 1500?
Truth, not a rumor.
It's called SkyPath and it's connected with TransPac. Bought 2 brand new Archer 4's full glass. Zero to hero program in DVT. They just started the program when I left (heard it was delayed to Jan 2017). I'm not sure how it's going so far but they had a small sample size of about 8 students I heard. They were offering jobs to us TransPac instructors to work on that side. I saw the airplanes and they're painted Skypath, as well as a hangar north of the main TransPac hangar. That's all I know about it. It's not super public right now besides a google search will show you they have the name trademarked.
When our TransPac CEO told us he didn't have a ton of news because it was so new. Part 141 with its own syllabus. He did say the plan was to expand this bigger and bigger if it works out. Skywest was really interested and wants as much as they can get. Also, the SkyPath planes could not be flown by TransPac students or instructors even. Only for that side of the company, so no Chinese students will fly our Archers (thankfully).
Yeah they didn't give details on how much Skywest invested into it. They told us they bought the airplanes though. They had a sign on the hanger too.I wonder what the price tag and contract is for that program..
