I must have lived in some other FL![]()
Well I was in the panhandle in Panama City so pretty much a different world than south Florida.
Ah...so basically Alabama.![]()
NC/SC/FL is the targeted area
I know a guy that I think could get you in banner towing in Delaware. You'd have to choose carefully to find good schools and affordable neighborhoods.
We live in Northern VA and love it. You have to go North and West to find something affordable. But if you're going to vote for people that increase taxes and regulations, then stay in Jersey. We have enough problems with people from Marlyland moving here and doing that.![]()
Delaware actually seems kind of interesting lately. Low cost of living, cheap real estate, easy access to NYC, PHL and DC/NoVA....plus beaches and low taxes....it's compelling if you have a decent job there.

I describe Florida as the dregs of American humanity dripping slowly off the edge...
Actually couldn't go much further west to hit WV. Immediately to the north is MD, but ironically (stereotypically speaking) that is where you would go to find some confederate flags and dudes shooting their cousin because he was sleeping with his sister, that was his wife. The Carolinas offer a good mix of climate, geography and demographics. You can find something there. Costs of living aren't too bad there.
Florida (and I was partially raised there) I wouldn't go back to. Flat. Boring. Beaches are nice. Too easy to fall into complacency there.
You just about live as far north in NoVA as it's possible to be and not be in WV.

Thankfully I wasn't anywhere near the limit.I'm pretty sure there is a maximum IQ limit in order to move to Florida.

I could think of a reason or two to move to DE...
Curious about the taxation without representation you suffer under, wonder if MD will take you back??
Florida would be great if wasn't full of people from New Jersey.
I moved to Charlotte NC 2 years ago from Palm Beach FL. Everytime I go back to visit I'm so glad I moved. It's just not the same place that I grew up in. The schools are going way down hill and its expensive to live there. The climate is hot, hotter, and hottest. The drivers all either have have handicapped plates or expired or missing ones. Florida is a big long state and can be somewhat different from north to south though. Miami has some of the most beautiful women in the world but traffic. Orlando has Mickey Mouse but summers with no sea breeze are brutal. Can't just judge Florida on one city. Charlotte has beautiful seasons. The mountains are 2 hours west and the beach can be made in about 3 1/2. South Charlotte where I am the schools are very good. This was a big seller for us. There are parks and trails everywhere if you're big on that kinda stuff. I started playing disc golf which is fun. Courses everywhere. Taxes are high but it shows. The city and surrounding towns are the cleanest I've ever seen. And if you are still planning on trucking for awhile, in north Charlotte there are 100s of companys.UPS Fedex etc. Best of luck! Any other questions about Charlotte let me know!
Charlotte is my favorite city in the US and when i started with the FAA my every intention was to get to CLT Approach within 5 years. Unfortunately due to our staffing now no one is allowed to transfer out of my facility =(
I support eliminating federal taxation from the citizens of DC. Seems like that would solve it.It's an interesting question these days. Wondering if MD would take DC back is half of it. The other half is the residents of the District WANTING to become citizens of MD. I expect that if most DC residents wanted to live in MD, they would. We have a significant tax base here and more citizens than at least two states.
I'm not familiar with all of the historical narrative nor the nuances of the politics, though. It strikes me as something I should probably know more about, but I just haven't taken the time to learn it.
