Q: If you have not been to a job fair, but do have an internal rec (HR letter sent), does attending a job fair help your chances of getting an interview?
I have seen varying opinions on this, and was hoping someone actually knows the answer. If a job fair doesn't get you any brownie points, but rather just gets your application scored, then if you have an internal HR letter sent it seems like the job fair would not be worth it.
I know there are other reasons to go (you might actually have fun?) but with the financial burden, I would rather not if it wont help my application. If it will help my application, then of course I will go.
So, does anyone have knowledge of this (not just a guess)?
Thanks
