Skywest Questions

Most chances, as in frequency, and I found staying away from flying between major bases, like DEN-ORD or SLC-MSP helps. For example Phoenix Chicago may be popular with American guys, so if you go for Chicago make sure there is plenty of options other than American. Of course plenty of OO operated flights can't hurt. I enjoyed my time in MSP, the airport is managed and operated very well.

I'm about to take a trip on Delta and this will use up my 6 annual transoceanic flights. I've heard from another pilot that we can still list for the jump seat on Delta for international flights as long as there's a seat in the back. Does anyone else have experience with this?

That or simply pay the yield fare. Jumpseating would be cheaper but you'll be behind the S4's in priority. Or pay the yield fare and still be at S3C. Depends how badly you want business class assuming it's open.

Just got offered the job at SkyWest. I live in Lincoln Park (Chicago). I can get Jan 2 CRJ class or Jan 19 for the 175. I really like the 175, but to be able to be based at home at ORD, is the crj really the right pick? I wouldn't want to commute to reserve on the west coast. Thanks. Can't wait to join y'all.

CRJ, CRJ, CRJ. Did I mention CRJ? ORD reserve is still over a year on the 175. Will it change? Maybe?

I've been on over a year and if I were on the CRJ I could be based in ORD and bidding 40% opposed to the 175 and be bidding 75%

15 months for me and still on reserve. July got me a line, and maybe December. Percentage in base means nothing in that mess!

Does anyone know how many a class get MSP or ORD on the CRJ? I'm going to class Jan 2. Just wondering how it works. I have friends all getting MSP then see some classes a lot get ORD. I'm confused on how that goes since everyone says their BOTH junior on the CRJ.

My class that started in early September was 4 DTW, 11 MSP, and 16 ORD on the CRJ. It's all based on need at the time when they award your class it's base, but in my class everyone got their first choice among those three, well, except for the one guy who only bid SLC, he ended up in DTW.

That's gonna be the guy who calls with questions.

"Zero seats in SLC, where else would you like?"
"SLC!"
"CRJ-Any it is!"
"But I bid SLC!"
"And I want a magic pony."
