If any UFOs come a floatin' around when I'm flying, there are going to be some politely requested vectors for, um, a build up. Yup, that's it. We need 90 left for a build up.

Spoiler Alert. They land into the Hudson, everyone survives. :p Honestly, I don't understand why he is so loathed by regional pilots. This movie is worth seeing and is not a biography of his life. It focuses on the scrutiny all pilots face with every decision they make. Regardless if everyone survives. Great job by Clint Eastwood.

Agreed. But nothing he said regarding the regional industry was inaccurate. I, for one, am glad he spoke up about the abomination that is the current regional industry.

His broad-brush judgement of those very regional aircraft pilots is the real issue. He fell right in line ignoring the very vast professional diversity that exists in the generic ranks of "pilots," much less "airline pilots," and even further much less "regional aircraft pilots."

If he had simply stuck to judging the industry rather than attempting to attack the abilities of other professionals, I and many others likely wouldn't have much of an issue with his statements.
 
I thought it had kind of a made for TV movie feel to it sometimes, but I was pretty impressed with the amount of detail they put into little things like the uniforms. Even had the "UNION PILOT" US Airways east badges.
 
Went to the show tonight. Left thinking "Meh...it was okay. But I'm never traveling with Tom Hanks. Not even on a bicycle."
 
Saw it, loved it. Saw it in IMAX (first movie I've ever seen in IMAX) and there had to be less than 15 people in the theater.
 
Just saw this today. Me and the fiance really enjoyed it.

Question, did Sully fly again for US Air? And what about the F/O what is he doing now?

Yes, he flew with them again, and random stranger hugs were the norm. Then he retired, and his last flight was all over TV. The FO, Jeff Skiles flies for AA.
