Very very true. I forgot about that.
I've noticed back in my jumpseating days, that some airlines had them installed, and some didn't. Only once was I ever up there with another rider.

And that's just "average." Lots more wayyyy bigger than that.
Yikes.
And when y'all try to wedge yourself into palletized seating on a herc for 14 hours, we can talk. Ya pansies.
The mesh seats are comfy!![]()
I can't even fathom that. I'm 6'1" and 195lbs. My actual waist is like 33" measured with a tape. And I'm pretty out of shape. I can't imagine how fat I'd need to be to get to 39.It says the average waist is 39"
Hot dang, there are some big people out there!

Has to be better than the 2nd jumpseat in a 737, when installed. That one is a royal pain, but, when you need the ride......
5'10 and 195 here, but the seats are borderline too small for me as well.

Hey dawg, you girl say you only 5'8.

I mean I have a problem with legroom, but the only time the width is too little is when the super fatty sits next to me.5'10 and 195 here, but the seats are borderline too small for me as well.

I always give guys the option, "if it's a middle seat, you can stay up here," regardless of what gate agent Glenda says. The worst part is when I'm jumpseating, they say, "There's a seat in back!" and I've got to wedge in between two large people. I have some options if I'm on my own metal, but some carriers have the "if it's an available seat, you're going to the cabin".
Unfortunately it is happening far more often than it used to. Just flew HNL-IAD with a guys arm practically on top of mine for 9 hours, oh and it was sweaty and hairy.![]()
Or when your helmet is resting against a piece of the fuselage and your brain is getting shaken into scrambled egg from the vibrationsNot when the 11 of you crammed in there have to wear all your kit..... Damn Sgt Majors.
