From what I can tell, they have the 1900 and Bro runs open. Horizon Pay is somewhere around 30k. I need like 50k to be able to live in Seattle.I'm pretty shocked that they are looking for a direct hire for a 1900 for seattle.Seattle is one of the best bases at AMF and if they are having a hard time filling a 1900 spot there I can only imagine the staffing issues they are having. when i was there almost 3 years ago there was two 1900 schedules. One was for Yakima, WA and it was BFI based. The other one was an outstation based out of Bellingham, WA. During the week you were flying out of BFI in the morning and back in BFI in the evening. on saturday morning you would end up in bellingham and monday afternoon you would fly back to BFI. The guy that worked that schedule when I was there lived in Seattle and would drive back to seattle every weekend. Its only a few hours on the road. I'm not sure what the pay is and i'm sure you would be better of looking at horizon if you are moving to the area.
Totally keeping the AMF debate aside, why would you go to a place like AMF with your qualifications instead looking for a company that home bases you, and you can just live where ever you want?
Easier said than done, I guess. I have submitted multiple applications/resumes to every place I can find. XO, Wheels Up (GAMA), Netjets, Flexjet, and a couple of home based 135s I have found on the orange site. If the pay is there, flying a King Air for 3 hours a day M-F isn't that bad. I got a call in November or December last year from Flex, then they went on some sort of hiring freeze.
