Skywest Questions

Man, this thread went wonky.

Odd because I personally know everyone involved and my brow is stuck in the "Inquisitive Vulcan" scrunch trying to figure some of the attitudes.

"Fasssssscinating."

You and @GX do understand you know one another, yes?

Oh yes, I know. We've met each other several times at PHX Meet & Greets. He's always nicer in person, but we have a long history here, where he frequently makes blunt uniformed assumptions regarding me. Par for the course really.

Which is odd because I thought you and @GX were homeboys and he wouldn't have been so caustic toward you.

Well someone made assumption about what I know and don't. And was proven wrong, by numerous fellow SKYW pilots. And even argued with them. He still hasn't backed down to others more knowledgeable and experienced than him. Or apologized to me for his assumptions. Not that I'm exactly owed or entitled an apology. But he could definitely IMO take on a more humble attitude.

I still owe you that steak dinner for the last time I pulled the "P'shaw, whatever man, you don't know!" and was subsequently proven tragically wrong.

Joined the Skywest cadet program...should be going to SLC March or April...if anyone will be in the new hire class those months, I should be able to meet you :)

That's awesome, super congrats to you! I hopefully start flying out @ KDVT next month. I still need to come out and meet up with you. Congrats again on starting the legwork on the next part of your journey.

Congrats, man! Good choice. Being a cadet will put you at the top of your class. That'll make a difference by about 40-70 numbers in seniority. Every bit counts! It will also help you get first dibs on a simulator slot. @ComplexHiAv8r can tell you all about being top of the class. He was at the top of my class.

Have XJT recruiters ever come out to Transpac, while you've been there to talk to CFI's. Like SKYW and Envoy have?

Yup, we get them once a month. XJT, GoJet, SKY, Envoy, and Trans states...typically for the new hire classes.

Most people here have been closing the Envoy program...from what I've seen. I'm glad there is no strings attached to Skywest, should another opportunity arise. I'd rather have seniority than travel benefits...I can barely get any time off anyways lol.

@JustinS thanks man! How long did you sit reserve at COS or DEN...what can be expected (at least right now)?
