Face palm. Should've signed that TA 2 years ago and moved on.
My management, no matter how desperate they may be for pilots, will not be offering Delta rates and rules for the Embraer jet. That is simply not how "bidness" works down here.I didn't read it entirely, that's true. It did seem to add some needed duty rigs and some wage increases....I guess more frustrating is the bungled teamster/mgmt. relationship that more frustrating. a 12 year old contract. My contract philosophy is more of hitting singles and doubles rather than waiting for the big homerun.
The problem is, middle requires compromise and neitherparty seems willing to do that. the ibt claims rah is being unreasonable and rah is claiming the same about the ibt. They are both right, I think. Which is why we will never get anywhere. My management, no matter how desperate they may be for pilots, will not be offering Delta rates and rules for the Embraer jet. Ask high, meet in the middle.

Why? If there is no hope of a deal, a cooling off period is useless.
sorry, I meant release them.
ugh, fine how has there been enough progress over the last 7 years that the NMB has never declared an impasse and allowed the process of a strike/ lockout to begin. How can the NMB believe, that in all the time, over the last 7 years that the parties were actually get a deal done. when the arbitrator is about to declare an impasse does someone say "actually were ok with just this one little thing"?
If there is no indication that a release will lead to a deal, then the NMB will not provide a release. Ever.
