Delta TA

It was a landslide sure enough... just completely the other direction. Quoted for posterity:

Prediction:

The Internet will scream Vote NOOOOOO!

Possibly another physical confrontation or two at the road shows

Passes 60-40

Impossible to find anyone thereafter who voted yes

Looks like a damned good contract. Congrats.

While there will be the fair share of No votes, this will pass easily. Personally I find this 3 year deal pretty reasonable. Easy Yes vote for me

I'm betting 70%+. A landslide by pilot contract standards.

I told you guys he'd immediately jump on the YES YES YES bandwagon. :)

There's alot of misinformation out there plus alot of bad math. Also alot of folks think they no better than Mike Donatelli or DALPA's professional negotiations and are sure the company will return to the table with more gains in short order. Once the MEC clears up the misinformation at the road shows I'm thinking it passes 65-35

Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and this works out well for them. I just seriously doubt it. I predict 3+ years to another TA.

Delta can't afford to park us for 3+ years. They have a huge problem with training, sick leave, and profit sharing. Going forward, the problem will continue to grow and cost them money. Plus, they need to replace the M88s as they seem to have a problem with making them RNAV compliant. They thought that just throwing money at us would get us to solve their problems on the cheap. RA and team are smart people. They already had a "plan B" in their back pocket. Yes, there will be "theater" as both sides reengage, but in the end, it'll be wrapped up within a year.

Not to mention, if it starts to drag on, the stock price may start to take a hit with the news of labor unrest. The Board won't stand for that for very long.

I haven't been "national" in a while now. I'm just some dude looking in from the outside.

Yeah. Right. You're national. In DALPA speak, the MEC is where you go when the LEC people you claimed to represent are sick of you. National is where you go when the MEC is sick of you.

You know I'm not even in the industry anymore, right? :) I'm not national.
Very aware

But @ATN_Pilot just want to say that I respect how you show up and don't back down from your position. I may disagree with you but I always know where you stand which is why you're a good Union guy. Also why when I mentioned "national" I put it in a DAL reference. I can't speak for other situations.
