Well what does Puppy say about all this?
Social media is changing how unions have to deal with TAs. It's much different today even when compared to just a few years ago.
I disagree. Everyone has said time and time again that the APC crowd is the 'vocal minority'....clearly this TA was not in line with what the pilot's surveys said. 65% no vote is a pretty resounding vote for a group that has never rejected a TA before...that shows that the current leadership is clearly out of touch with the pilot group. And yet, their rhetoric spread like wildfire and was instrumental in defeating the TA, along with the Facebook groups. Whether you consider that good or bad, it is true. Social media is changing how unions have to deal with TAs. It's much different today even when compared to just a few years ago.

Which is irrelevant, since a TA is virtually always the first proposal that the rank and file see.
If what the pilot group "wants" is not compatible with what is achievable, then they're in for a rude awakening.
Like I said, I hope I'm wrong and this works out well for them. I just seriously doubt it. I predict 3+ years to another TA.
That is a failure of the union to not adjust to those social media changes. It is there...adjust.
For crying out loud, they were 'robo dialing folks'. Seriously?
I have no skin in this game, but even as an outsider I felt that the MEC was pushing this TA really hard to the pilot group.
Is it? I figured an MEC should know their group better than to have to push a TA through. Shouldn't the TA sell itselfThat's their job.

We all make mistakes in life. None of us are perfect as we're human.
The first time you say "I was wrong" publicly about some incorrect proclamation you make in public, you will feel very liberated.
That is a far better path to respect than doubling down and sounding more like an ass.
So what does it mean for the 190s and 737s that were ordered?
So they were bluffing.
That's their job.
