What he had in truth, was a bag of crap that he copied and pasted directly off various conspiracy web sites, some already available on the internet public governmental documents, multiple member accounts, and a bunch of public you tube videos made by other people. And oh yeah, and the b.s. JC Underground. lol

I have a lot of interesting webmaster tools on the "Geek Side" of the server which are easier to take advantage of when someone has reservations about the veracity of a registration and keeps it "off the public radar".

But once accusations start flying publicly, a "crafty troll" knows exactly what to do and it's a lot harder to look at the forensic information. Think: Tomcatter

Now when a couple guys got the idea that I was trolling my own website, it bounced back and forth in the backchannels and there are some, today, that are still convinced that I had an inordinate amount of free time/interest/????? to engage myself in something conspiratorial like that.

I fully believe that's true, but dear sweet Lord Baby Jesus, that would have been hands down the best troll of all time.

This is good to know. I always hate to use the "report post" button for suspected trolls, because it feels too "run and tell mommy," but with this info in mind, I'll try to do so more often.

This tone is starting to give me flashbacks, as is the avatar. I and others have actually been trying to give you some decent advice that you seem to be ignoring, and with the comments and questions you have been making/asking, the boxes simply are not lining up. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt....but now that is questionable. I hope I am wrong.

BEING A PILOT IS THE ONLY THING I CAN DO, IT'S MY LIFE. I WILL REACH MY GOAL NO MATTER WHAT

I had the same exact thought, man. Madlion.

If I could like your post more than once I would.

What world are you living in where an RJ pilot gets 15-20 days off per month!? Senior legacy captains are getting 20 days off, not first year RJ drivers. First year you're scraping the bottom for schedules, and at our staffing levels the only thing you'll get is minimum days off, which is 11. At my seniority I'm getting between 11-13 days off per month. The months that I had 13, I needed to commute into base the night prior 3 times that month, so that's not a day off in my book.

I also just got off first year pay about 2 weeks ago and I made just over $22k my first 12 months on property. If I didn't commute and picked up trips I could have realistically brought that up to maybe $26-30k depending how hard I tried, but that means I would have had even less home life than I already do.

It was just a figure that I tossed out of my ass, never said or thought it was true.

True, you only have 8 days off a month working a 'regular' job. But you're also home every night. So how does being home 30-31 nights a month and 8 full days (more on some months) off compare to being 'off' for 15 where you're only home for 10-11 if you're a commuter. So tell me again, who's got more time off, at home???

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I like my job, I like the lifestyle...but to suggest because someone has, on paper, 15 days off a month that they should just pick up another 4-day trip to make ends meet is nonsense. That'd bring your time at home down to 5-6 days. If, and that's a big if, you live in base, it makes it somewhat more doable. But the reality is the majority of 121 pilots are commuters. Time at home is precious to maintaining any semblance of a normal life.

I'm certainly not attacking you, Max. Just want to point out these large number of days off per month many see on paper are not always real 'days off'.

And I did preface that I was looking at it from the perspective of working a "regular job", right or wrong. I've never been an airline pilot, so I don't know the complexities of the stress that it does on your body and commuting. I was just looking at it from the perspective that I wouldn't want to be struggling financially.

It's the Inner Circle™, not the underground.

I am listening to their advice, but I do have a choice on whether or not if I should listen to it. For the most part I am taking the advice in to consideration even though it may not seem like it.

Just keep in mind you're reading post from people who, at one point, were where you are and where you're trying to go.

My suggestion to you would be focus on your instrument training...then focus on your commercial training, the focus on your multi training...and so on....

Don't look to far ahead due to things change rapidly in this industry.

For example, when I was where you are I predicted that I would be at a regional and just preparing to go to the majors by now. In actuality, I'm currently happily flying on the corporate side of the industry.

Who even knows if there will be any wide body flying done by the big three when you get to a point where you qualify to at one of them. Delta may not even exist at that time for all we know. Things change to rapidly in this industry to make predictions.

I'd heavily suggest curiosity as a neophyte in this profession is as important as the necessity for wide-open ears.

By and large, the people here are going to tell you how it is.
