We're talking about Delta here. It's mandatory.
Ok. I smell what y'all are steppin' in now.

Ask @mtsu_av8er about the dream he had. And he's a Marine!
I think he works for American now.
That metric system is a dirty Commie plot, right?See, there's the problem. That chart is in metric. We don't do metric.

Just listening to the Live ATC clip it sounds like he gives a "Good" braking action reported by an A319 right around that time.
I'll tell you what though....Sometimes you can see where everyone has made their turnoff on the same taxiway, and beyond it the RWY looks like hell. Happened to us at JFK not too long. CA lands kinda long (right at end of TDZ lights) and we end up in the snow past where everyone was making the turnoff. Went from Good (where everyone had been) to Poor...
Is the 'bus autobrake like ours, in that it commands a rate, not a percentage of braking?I don't understand why guys float landings on a contaminated runway. Put 'er down. Get on the brakes.
Landing in snow on a contam runway one time I had a CA not like me briefing I'd use Autobrake MED, saying it was an aggressive deceleration rate. So I selected LO and once touching down, manually came on the brakes with more pressure than what medium would have applied. Sometimes passive aggressive works![]()
Made in 1987. Think they'll bother?
1987 was a good year. Things made in that year (like me) should be repaired. That's a new MD88!

I'm sure they've got the finest mechanics on it.

I don't know. I avoid that place like the plague. That was the running joke when I was at Eagle. You know our current overnight hotel there was used as a meth lab?
Yea, that's news to me too - unless he's talking about the Envoy overnight hotel. @B767The Crowne Plaza??
Possibly.Damn man, I could have made you my senior year of high school! Son?
How many landings were made on 13/31 during that time span, and what is the accident rate? I'm guessing the rate starts with a decimal point, then about five zeros.USA 5050

All accidents on RWY13/31 in the last twenty five years or so. Think that might send up a red flag to someone?

I found a pic of the captain
That is how we define "extremely remote" in these parts, yes.How many landings were made on 13/31 during that time span, and what is the accident rate? I'm guessing the rate starts with a decimal point, then about five zeros.
