Been to DFW in a while? World's largest VFR only airport. Their 123 rule is: 1 cloud, within 200 miles, 3 hours of flow. Slow to 210 knots 100 miles out? You guys aren't THAT busy. ORD would have me doing 300 for another 50 miles...

It's gotten that bad at Dee Eff Dub?! I haven't been there in well over a year, and I don't remember it being that bad. Meanwhile you better not be doing anything less than 280 climbing out of IAH!

I'll agree. You know that thing is too large to be in the lap, or under the seat. It was definitely in the overhead. So they had to grab it out before jumping on the slide. Society is stupid.

I don't know. I avoid that place like the plague. That was the running joke when I was at Eagle. You know our current overnight hotel there was used as a meth lab?

It's a total disaster when there's anything snowy happening. That said, maybe I am just used to the existing level of suck from being based there at The Beagle.

I didn't actually operate into or out of it this week...I was SUPPOSED to, though...

edit: I tend to miss most of the "fun" - I missed the hailstorm, for instance, in '12, couldn't even get there if I wanted JRM and by the time I commuted in all was more or less squared away. I don't think DFW, honestly, was that much of a disaster, although I don't have any experience with the New American(tm)(R).

Nobody was seriously injured and airplanes, in the grand scheme of things, are largely expendable, as long as they are expended to protect their occupants. That means it is (or should be) okay to have a good chuckle. My particular/peculiar/perverse/whatever sense of humor demands that as long as nobody gets banged up, you have to laugh.

Or, equivalently, do what this guy did at the end of the movie:

I hear that as long as the keel beam isn't bent, this aircraft should be back in service in 6 months.
