We were, at one time, supposed to have a constant torque climb feature, but nope.

Are you talking about the "needle bug thingies" on the torque gauge that are disabled? The HMU does auto enrich for a constant torque climb. T6 is an issue though...

I would hope that the PM is honest with the PF and let's them know if their stick and rudder leaves much to be desired rather than just being silently annoyed.

I've flown so little this past two years that I've had to go back to the sim for landing currency twice, and I've been real close a few other times. I'm at about 70 hours of block time for this entire year, so even if I did all of this silly hand flying, my number would be pretty low.

Would you guys say that Asiana's crash in SFO makes a great case for not being too automation-dependent, or at the very least, know how to take over if the automation isn't doing what you'd like it to do?

On my current airplane, though I haven't used it much, I do like the TCS button on the yoke.

As a collective, the royal We if you will, need to develop ourselves (if you haven't) to be proficient at ALL LEVELS of automation, in all phases, in your current machine. Anything less is a disservice.
