I know. I am just talking about the whale... Primarily in the bottom range...kinda interested in what happens there.

The TCAS sucks. Otherwise it's a good plane.
 
Parking 3 in Sept, and 1 more by the end of the year. The latest AE (Vacancy) had 8 Capt spots but when it came out they weren't awarded and a memo about parking them was attached. Perfect timing, know someone who just got awarded it recently too, that'll be a short stint I am guessing.

Hopefully they actually get to fly it. Time is probably running out for anyone who wants to. The rest of us will probably never fly anything with more than 3 engines in our career.

Why are they parking them? How many does that leave then? How many other wide bodies do y'all have on order?

The ones we have on property probably are on a ten year (at most plan), just wondering why Delta is parking them.

Well my regional doesn't have any widebodies although you may think so if you saw @amorris311 and his huge international bag. I just saw this one because there's some personal interest thats mentioned. 16, parking 4. No clue about orders.

Trust me... with the lack of skills center has out here as far as separating aircraft goes and with the number of tour helicopters and caravans flying around and the kind of lackadaisical view of VFR in and out of the clouds out here, tcas is very, very valuable.
 
I held for 15 min this morning waiting for 2 to open in phog. HA 717 was gonna have none of that and snuck into 5. 4990 feet must be enough for a 717. Must be a cool plane.
