85 new hires a month it sounds like through April, then continuing at a undisclosed size after. 4 whales getting parked by end of year. Interesting.

Congrats, Captain!

It looks like a cool airplane! After picking on some new hires on the 3rd floor of OC-III, I dropped into the 717 ground school room and if you have any mad dog time, you should have an easy time with the 717. I know most of the instructors, the lead line check captain and the fleet manager and they're all awesome people.

Well now that you are a captain you get to experience everything BB has to offer. The DTW guys are a class act. I've always admired their ability to lead and with all the shuffling they seem to have a great grasp of two different cultures. My hat is off to both of them.

I just have to learn to stop saying "Jeff, you're doing a great job, I'll give you the aircraft, set me up on a comfortable downwind, don't take any (expletive) from ATC, I'll run the ECAM and get back with you" :)

Hopefully you'll get to say "Denny, you suck as a pilot, but I've gotta hand you this thing. Hang on for a couple, I'll take back control in a few. Just for now, please try to keep us somewhat straight and level."

(as I reach up and pull for OP DES)

I probably should have bid ATL so we could have pulled off the "JC Selfie" and then back to the safety and comfort of DTW! Check open time!
