I think we can now say with confidence that this section of the industry has entered the twilight zone.
I've had my popcorn out since Jan 1st and this show keeps getting better and better.

A new hire will flow likely before their 30th birthday. Compare that to the Eagle flow, those guys are ~50 years old, if not older, one I talked to was 58 and couldn't decide if he wanted to flow or not.
Great deal for the new hires. Sucks for the guys that were just hired or even those that have been there a while. I'm sure it will attract a whole slew of qualified <1 year guys from other companies, heck I would go if I were in the same position!
Well 5 years seems like a long time. But do the math. Odds are you are going to spend 5 years at least at a commuter regardless of where you go. Some probably quite a bit longer. Might as well go to a place that offers a flow as well.Doesn't seem like that great of a deal. 5 years is what I've heard for the first new hire to flow to Delta. I have a feeling that's a best case scenario. Quick upgrade airlines like Compass are a much better deal IMO.
Keep in mind that the Compass pilots eligible for flow-through will eventually be exhausted and at that point the upgrade time will increase asymptotically, as (as far as I know) there is no expansion planned there. Not dispensing haterade, but my usual admonitions about chasing a quick upgrade.Doesn't seem like that great of a deal. 5 years is what I've heard for the first new hire to flow to Delta.
