Malaysia Airlines 777 missing

That's what I mean. Extreme measures would need to be "implemented", knee-jerk style, to somehow try and prevent this possibility so the flying public "feels safe".

We saw the same window dressing immediately post-9/11, which set the stage for the scared-of-our-shadow nation we have now for ourselves.

Can I like a post 20 or 30 times?

Agreed. Not much good. And neither did Congressman Bill Hendon's book. What is interesting are their explanations as to why they were unable to do anything positive for the POWs.

It is Peck's explanation that I find interesting. (See links)
I need to refresh my memory about Peck, but I recall him mixing legit criticisms of POW-related efforts with nutty non-specific claims about conspiracies. He also promoted widely discredited evidence. My take is he saw a self-serving place for himself in the POW activism industry.

I was like 6 years old when the FedEx flight 705 happened. And google doesn't say much about the aftermath....

...so does anyone remember the changes that happened? Were crew members required to pass through security before then? Not that it would matter on a cargo flight I guess.

Yeah, but that was long before the FTs in DC thought they could actually get away with creating a police state in the "land of the free".

The doofus on CNN just said this must be it because the Australians are experts in airplane accident investigating. How many accidents has Qantas had?

I went from watching the news on this incident for 10-15 minutes a day for over a week and then to 0 minutes a day since last Saturday. I have no doubts that they are capable in crash investigations. What the Aussies also are, is they are pretty damn expert at SAR missions.

Check your comments here.

The ATSB is a very professional and competent accident investigation arm, comparable to the AAIB and NTSB.

What is interesting is they are saying that the image was picked up by satellite but are also saying is 'the weather isn't cooperating with the ships and plane when they arrive on scene'.

Pretty cool satellites....
