Malaysia Airlines 777 missing

Tooo funny.

I just got home and my wife has Don L and his merry band of experts on (thought I had blocked CNN...). Patrick Smith gets a pass -- good writer and his reply to the cell phone issue was great. Had I not just bought the tv it would have my car keys embedded in its screen.

I haven't turned on any of the news networks in years. For stories like this and the Ukraine situation, I just periodically check the BBC News app on my phone. The information dispersed through that outlet is fairly straightforward and factual.

Doesn't make me angry. Doesn't make me feel dumber for having paid attention to it. And it doesn't waste my time.

Why otherwise reasonable people on this forum insist on watching and subsequently whining about the news networks escapes me completely.

CNN is pretty much just on the air at this point to see if a terror event happens. Theyre gonna be waiting a very long time.

#margaritalogic

Did u kno, "margarita" in Latin means "pearl," but "marargita" in the Olde Españolé means "daisy?"

A 777 is big, but not all that big compared to a 330-300

#AirbusDriverPenisMeasuringContest :)

Actually… ;)

(I was looking at it the other day and the A330-300 and 777-200 (non-ER) have verrry similar performance.)

Our -200's have ridiculous performance. Lighter weight and the center tanks.

Oh Noz! The CNN just reported that the Capt. had "Deleted Files" on his home flight simulator! Those file may lead to clues of a practice runs done by the Capt! Because a man with over 18,000 hours and a career in transport aircraft needs to practice on their home flight simulator.... Good thing Malaysian forensics are on it...

:bang:

We need to develop inter-planetary travel.

So we can re-locate people like this.

I have an ATC simulator on my computer, I've also deleted things off of it. I must be a suicidal maniac....

Well now we know what his column would feature in the next Flying edition. By the way, is this the longest thread on JC?
