I already get mine done for free. Actually I should see if the SO is looking into trading me in for a younger, better-looking and less-experienced 20-something pilot model.:confused2:

I was the opposite, initially I loved airline flying until I became a pilot then every flight after that hasn't been nearly as enjoyable since.

I think that is a common consensus around here. It makes sense. I hope that doesn't happen to me, though. :)
 
Haaaa! Still cracking jokes, I see!

I am currently out of town in sunny Florida (still cold though!), so I don't get to fly this weekend. My next lesson in next Saturday and I think we are going to fly the 150 to College Station. I decided I am going to get my license. If I could do that, it'd be the biggest accomplishment of my life. My dad would be so proud of me if I could take him flying one day. So, yeah. Looks like I am here on JC for good. ;)

The first time you take your dad up, or any family member, will be a flight you'll always remember. I can still remember how proud my dad was, he didn't say anything he just seemed to look at me differently afterward. He isn't a pilot but he's always been an aviation enthusiast. You're going to have to jump over some hurdles on the way to a PPL, having goals like taking your dad up will help you along the way. Good luck.
