Korean Air A380 arrival at ATL

I was pushing off of F1 to go to BZE when this thing was landing. I noticed people lined up along the roadway with cameras and put 2 and 2 together.. "oh yeah, the first 380 is coming in this morning!"

Sure enough, the smurf manatee came sniffing down final for 27L right in front of us as the push was in progress. There was a huge crowd waiting at the gate it parked at on the odd E gates. They had a follow me car escort it in... the FO spoke very good english for a change.

I was one of the people lined up on the road lol It was cool seeing a CRJ-200 taxi behind such a monstrous jet.

I guess it came back again the other day. I think they have two more test flights before they finally get regulatory approval to start revenue flights.

I rode in business on a Korean A380 recently from ICN-FRA. Nice ride. They have a vodka bar upstairs in back...nice touch.

How was KE? I have a flight from DFW-ICN next month in the 773. I doubt it has a vodka bar but was the service and experience with them good compared to an American carrier?

I'm fairly sure nearly every airline other than Air Rwanda is going to have good service compared to a US domestic airline.

Great airline. Not quite as good as Singapore or Emirates, but definitely up there. You'll have a good ride.

Actually, I was on an American 777 from LHR-MIA recently, and was impressed by the service.
