$42,000 for the 1st one? Owned by Howard Hughes?! I have so many jokes, I don't know where to start.
Frankly, I'd buy it to turn it into beer cans....
Perfect for static display? At what? A playground?
The Jetstar was also one of the few corporate jets to come with a drag chute, much like some Lear 20 series and some Jet Commander jets. Many had them deactiviated or removed, as they were not an FAA requirement. The sdjustable vertical stab was a neat design feature too.
I thought that was the most bonkers thing about it when I looked at one up close. That was the first time I'd seen, uhh, trim adjusted that way.The Jetstar was also one of the few corporate jets to come with a drag chute, much like some Lear 20 series and some Jet Commander jets. Why doesn't the guy who owns Red Bull add the 220 to his awesome fleet. Dump a few mil in it, modernize the cockpit/interior and have a sweet running around plane. Literally one of a kind.Since somebody brought it up, you can now buy the only McDonnell 220, as listed on barnstormers.
