9E TA Reached

Is this the type of situation where if the pilots don't vote yes, the company will probably get the go-ahead from the judge to ignore the current contract and institute whatever it wants? Like what happened at AA?

Ain't this some amazing motivation to sign the TA?

"If you're an FO, you're losing your job no matter what. If you're in the top 14% of the company, you'll remain a captain, but you'll take a pay cut. If you're in the top 15-28% of the company, you'll be downgraded and take a $50,000 a year pay cut, but keep your job. If you don't sign this, you'll all lose your jobs."

I don't see what the problem is here. The Union will protect you, right? Oh wait. Maybe the union is part of the problem here? Just maybe....

Not sure where that came from but without representation, the company would have went behind closed doors, came up with a plan and implemented it the next day.

With representation, there's at least some negotiation going on.

It's going to be a crap-sandwhich any way. Without a collective bargaining agreement, it'd be a crap-sandwich, sodomy and a waterboarding.

Releasing the fleet plan is an interesting thing to do in this case. It basically gives two-thirds of the pilot group no incentive whatsoever to vote in favor. I have to wonder whether management's intent is to encourage a no vote, then blame the pilots for voting no when they shut down the airline. In other words, just seeking a scapegoat when they already have a pre-determined outcome.
The outcome is already pre-ordained, Comair style.

Timeline TBD.

Damn, what a crappy year this has been for so many. Lets hope 2013 is better or that the Myans were right. Good luck guys.

Well, they've already said all balloting, etc has to be done by Jan 15th, so less than 30 days to read it and vote. My guess? If it's voted down, Delta starts a slow wind down of Pinnacle. If it's approved, it's a slow wind down of MOST of Pinnacle. For most guys there, there result is going to be exactly the same. For the super senior lifers, well, they get to swim as big fish in the small pond a little while longer.....just like Comair.

Yeah, I could see them dangling the other 30 -900s as a carrot. Honestly, I hope no one falls for it. If Pinnacle were getting them, they would have been released with the fleet plan. Delta already knows where they're going. Anyone that thinks Pinnacle might have a shot is suffering from battered wife syndrome at this point. They should leave and go to their mom's house, but really. Delta might change for real this time.

I'm just thankful that I can watch this horror from a distance. I feel for all my brothers and sisters still there.

Even if voted down someone has to fly those 900s.... 9e has plenty of pilots and it'd seem logical and the quickest route for Delta still no? I mean if they give more to SKW or Gojets doesn't that almost put Delta limited to few regional feeds and in an unfavorable and limited ability to do their famous whipsawing that they love with the DCI shuffle?

If no more 9e that leaves what.... SKW Inc., Transtates Inc., and Republic only? Seems like their shuffling abilities will be greatly limited and something DAL will suddenly be limited with their DCI bullying abilities?

Didn't Delta say they wanted to cut down on the DCI carriers significantly?

There's only way with this thing passes, and it's if it has one small nugget in it. I won't say, but we all know what the nugget has to be for a guy less than 1000 on the list to vote "yes, take my current job."
