9E TA Reached

The fleet plan should not be a surprise to anyone who paid any attention to our flying and Delta's last TA with the pilot group. I will reserve real disgust/displeasure/mild discomfort until I see what manner of excrement our TA is.

Holy crap.

Ain't this some amazing motivation to sign the TA?

"If you're an FO, you're losing your job no matter what. If you're in the top 14% of the company, you'll remain a captain, but you'll take a pay cut. If you're in the top 15-28% of the company, you'll be downgraded and take a $50,000 a year pay cut, but keep your job. If you don't sign this, you'll all lose your jobs."

No doubt.

Ugh, I don't know what to say.

Well considering I was about 130 from the bottom when I left in April, and you were about 30 ahead. I would say you are about 100 or less. My one classmate left (out of 22) is about 80 last I heard a couple months ago. Where do you think the majority of the people are leaving from?

No doubt I'm at the bottom, I was just curious how long it would take before I get told to leave.

Releasing the fleet plan is an interesting thing to do in this case. It basically gives two-thirds of the pilot group no incentive whatsoever to vote in favor. I have to wonder whether management's intent is to encourage a no vote, then blame the pilots for voting no when they shut down the airline. In other words, just seeking a scapegoat when they already have a pre-determined outcome.

That is the only logical explanation that I can think of.

A friend of mine that works in HQ in MEM told me that 1200 was the number being thrown around, so maybe the options for 30 more -900s is going to be dangled out as a further carrot I don't think this will be a very pleasant environment and I can personally attest to the fact that it is getting very tense in MSP. Not a whole lot better in Olive Branch either...

even with a no vote, they just go back to the court with another 1113c. They would probably do better than the deal reached now. Ta/1113c/total shut down? Either way they win

The People's Republic of Ann Arbor, comrade.

But I think we've got a handful of guys in southeast Michigan generally, mostly Western Michigan grads.
I've got a ton of western Michigan friends. Loved by most, hated by one in particular :) and that person works at your airline...

And all the folks downgraded in this process might eventually get the "opportunity" to re-upgrade at year-1 captain rates..... This is a terrible situation for anybody at PCL. My heart goes out to you guys. If there is anything I can do to help get a job at ASA let me know.
