I covered the Florida State @ USF game on ESPN last night. Here are a couple of photos.

Only once when I cross trained. I did it for less than a month on my own before they put me on something else. The apartment itself is actually a decent unit. The central air was key. Just that it stunk (although I disagree about the weed part, I've known enough stoners to discriminate the odor even when it's stale and baked into the walls) and of course that town is a sad and dilapidated place.

Out ATC are the best of the best and they could sniff a novice from first contact. :) Learn words WILCO and COPY because you can not read back all that block of info they fire at you.

Make sure you have all your on course headings handy. If you say standby and start punching buttons to get your heading they may send you their way :)

Are you calling me a novice? :p Actually my intentions were not to get a great view of the city. The Kennedy controller did not offer me 5500, i suggested it and he agreed. I'd love to take a spin around the city with you some time, i am working tomorrow morning though.

I went up once with an ATC guy and asked him to ask LGA to overfly something. We got permission. You guys can talk :)

so the real solution to get a good clearance is to kidnap an ATC, take them flying and then make them negotiate their own release on the radio? ;)

Unfortunately, there is no code word that means, "hey, I'm a fellow controller, let me do what i want"

That would be perfect. I know a negotiator ready to be kidnapped any time.

Today I went to Martha's Vineyard for breakfast and not a single propeller soul down low. Kennedy guy was super nice I enjoyed his airspace at 1400' :)

I don't know. In a week I am out for a looong trip to Wild West. CO UT AZ NM NV CA then leasurely back. Need to burn those "use or lose" leftover vacation days.

Tomorrow I am off but wx looks crappy.

Yeah, soon enough I'll be able to fly to you. This is taking way longer than it should have.
 
Hey Fencer , looks like i missed your message ! will be happy to fly with u next Monday , i dont mind driving to jersey if u fly out of there , i also dont mind paying for Lunch :))

Don't worry there will be always next year :) I don't mind to pick you up at Sheltair of JFK their fees on you lunch on me :D
 
Sheltair JFK works for me , as long as they have Parking ...or i can just take the train , i dont mind paying fees + lunch , how about that ?
