Fully experienced with 4 years has only got one up to 13.59/hr working @ a Signature in Southern California. 40 hours a week and a lot of work.
I was compensated at a rate of $8.50 an hour for my service to Bet Ko Air in Yuma, AZ as a line service technician in 2001-2002.
You must have had cheap rental. $10.23 isn't getting me my commercial anytime soon.I worked part time throughout school starting at $6.25/hr about 5 years ago and got a raise (.25/.5) a year. We're a "decent" size class D where we're the only FBO and do everything on the field besides deal with airlines. Went full time about a year ago and making about $11/hr now and loving the overtime pay. Still not really too much, but at least I have a job for now till I can go on with my aviation career. Hard to believe that 6.25/hr paid off my private and instrument ratings!

Must be nice! The best I've found is 50 dry for a Warrior, so it works out to about 95-100 wet. The old 150 got totaled in a storm over the summer.Back about 4 years ago was $72/hr for a 172! Thank you flying club!
I now work for walmart loading boxes into 18 wheeler trailers for $17.75/hr. It's a long way from aviation but it's what I need to do in the meantime.
It's honest work. Nothing wrong with that.
True. I think the truest test of one's passion is in the tenacity that they have in holding onto said passion. Being stuck in a warehouse for twelve hours a day is a million miles from what I hope to be doing professionally but I am more motivated than ever to finish up my flight training.
You have no idea how much it helps to hear some encouragement. I don't spend a whole lot of time on JC but it's things like this that keep me coming back.Agree. And in the mean time, you're doing what you need to in order to attain that goal. Tenacity indeed. Best of luck in reaching that goal, because you're one person who will definitely have earned it.
