Hiring tracking (opposite of furlough tracking)

Indeed they are. We skipped voluntary furloughs and went right to mandatory. They cancelled the last round of furloughs about 2 weeks before they were to happen.

Nothing comes close to 2 years ago when they recalled about 50 people and then a couple days later, canceled the recall. Burned a lot of guys.

Hired at Gojets. During the presentation, they said they're holding one class per month until the end of 2013. Half of the 13 people there were from another 121 carrier. Either furloughed, about to be furloughed, or jumping ship.

I just read you have provide your own transportation and housing during training. What a bunch of bull!

I have all ready posted this else where but it should be placed in hiring tracking, I was hired as an FO for CommutAir and I start class on June 4th... It will be a good change from teaching Chinese students...

We were told that hotel rooms would be provided at double occupancy with a shuttle bus to and from training. Transportation to St Louis is our responsibility.

Congratulations! I know it used to be, does anyone know if it's still considered career suicide to work at gojet? I was looking at them...just not sure if I should...

Thanks! Gojet seems to have a bad reputation among the regional side, but the mainline pilots I talked to like the company or don't care. When I interviewed, there were 2(ex or soon to be ex) Pinnacle pilots, 1 (ex)Comair pilot, and 3 (current)Republic pilots there with me. Take it as you will.

I have no dog in the fight but all the airline friends I have are mainline guys and most of them don't even know who/what Go Jets is.

Trans States is hiring at least 10/mo for the rest of the year. Need at least 900TT. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Yep. They recalled everyone and only got a handful to come back. Seems to be the way it works around here...furlough till hire, hire till furlough. All I know is they are very short and were soliciting resumes via CrewTrac.

So, if hired at GoJets, and they provide double-occupancy hotel for you, etc...
You're not required to do that, are you?
What I mean is, I simply can't bunk up with someone. I'm not 19 and on a camping trip.
I have to have my own space and time especially getting going in the morning.

I'd have no problem paying for my own hotel, either the one they put you up in, or staying elsewhere..

OK.
So... is it required or can you get your own accommodation?
If you have family or whatever in STL area, can you stay there?
