SkyWest Hiring FOs

Skywest seem to stick to their guns on the 1000/100 me experience. Interesting how picky some companies are though. When the economy is down companies are super picky. When they need you though..... that's another story.

Also if getting fired from a previous job (Non-aviation) will keep you from getting a job with double O..... I guess I already know not to apply when I finally meet the mins some day.:bandit:

Good luck to all that can get on. I hear they are a pretty good company.

My understanding: As long as you meet the 100 hours of instrument time you meet the mins. (Actual or hood, plus no more than 40 "logable SIM) You might break them down if the online app allows. I have never looked at it so I dont know.

Having 78 hours IFR total, much of it very recent will not "bend" the 100 hour minimum to something less.

Ohh. . . .. . Just sayin.
Thank you for a sensible response that actually addresses the question. I didn't in any way expect to be considered with less the 100 instrument. I think what was worrying me was the breakdown.

I did get an email from the HR lady who said what I had for the break down was fine so I guess there it is. Now I just got to pass my ATP written.

SKW ain't the Holy Grail of regionals either. Other regionals will take you below mins.....

Just sayin...

Ain't that the truth, we can no longer fill classes to capacity. The class that starts Monday apparently has 12 of a previous 20 actually showing up. This place has worked out well enough for me, but it certainly isn't the same place it was when I was hired.

Which is why I like you "bike." You're not pat... ;) Glad you're happy where you work! Just don't pimp 'em out as the end all be all.

Thanks SK, much appreciated, I should've thought of that:) Just Sayin LOL!

it was meant to be "look in the interview section" because I had just posted something there...wasn't trying to be a smart axx.

At any rate, hopefully you found what you were looking for, Sir.

LOL - 'happy' is actually a stretch, 'reasonably content for the time being with hopes of vast improvement' might be a better fit ;)

Did not take it that way was just following the "Just Sayin" quotations from preview posts the truth is I had completely forgotten to look in that section. Did not mean to offend if I did I'm sorry. Anyways did look in there and found what I needed:) I do sincerely appreciate it. Take care and good luck!:)

Allright, now I have a stomach ache. I got the interview on the 5th. Am I being absurd to wish I didn't need to change jobs?

right that's what I understand as well...if you have 100 hours of experience with 80 hours 10 years ago and 20 recent...vs. someone who has all of it within the last 3 years they may consider the more recent as a better candidate.
