Yes, you sign another fingerprint form for a SIDA badge to have ramp access once they give you a conditional offer. I got a class date (Feb 28th) before I got a medical date. About a week or so after I got the conditional, I got a medical date. You have a choice of where you want to do the medical depending on where you live. I'm from San Diego and did mine at LAX.
Congrats guys!
Nice...that makes sense! Come to think of it...I'm pretty sure I remember you mentioning how you received your class date before your medical and we were all confused! So I guess it will be March 14th for me...great! I live here in Dallas so my medical will probably be up at the AA facility. So on Monday I can officially give my employer notice?
BTW: Matix, are you getting excited about class on Monday?

Congrats!! Just watch you dont show your overly excited over at APC lol!! I will see ya around Dallas man, the EMB DFW went super senior in my class fyi.
On the "item wasn't signed off by the mechanic" or "Mel item is broke at an outstation and captain wants to go" questions are they just wanting to hear you say you wouldn't complete the flight?
Yeah, I've heard that EMB DFW usually goes pretty senior. I'm 28 so my fingers are crossed. Either way I'm just happy to get started...I'll gladly take another base on the EMB and put in for a base transfer when I can.
I would take DFW ATR over EMB if its open if I was you. Much more laid back for us on the Executive side. I get alot of couch time and call of duty time. You can fly a bunch if you want to but if you don't, the ATR is awesome for reserve.
How long have you been at Eagle?
Hell no I wouldn't take the ATR over the EMB. I have flown both.
ABI FTW over BYH
APU over no APU
Just curious, is the training between all three aircraft any different from each other? like one aircraft being very complex then the other?
Has anyone that was waiting for an email to get their medical scheduled got it yet? I'm still waiting to hear back for mine, sent in the paper work the second I got it in the email.
Amen, brother! I remember all the crap I took when I left flying the 1900 for the Embraer.
Flying a turboprop might make you a badass in the eyes of others, but what good is that when you're sweating to death at the gate *every day* in the heat of a Dallas summer?
The push button jet and its magic APU powered packs win there, *every* time. At least in my book. Professional flying is a business arrangement. To win in business, work smarter, not harder!
