What aviation watch would you pick if money wasn't a issue

Well I've decided to invest in a good aviation watch and I'm having some trouble starting on what to pick. I'm willing to drop some serious money because its something I would like to keep for a lifetime and possibly pass on later. So guys, if you had your choice, what would you pick? I've looked at some Breitlings but still having some trouble. I want something that is very functional in the cockpit but also something that looks good and not out place if I decided to clean up and wear a suit. So give me your suggestions!

My Breitling Emergency. I adore that watch and it could become useful if I go down...

Meh, get the cheapest watch you can that still looks half-way decent. If you can't find a good watch at Fred Meyer for under $50 then you've got your priorities wrong. I mean, hell, how many times has my watchband broken while flying because of something airplane related? At least twice! Plus a few other watch related uber-fails related to loading cargo, submersing my watch in cold water, or just forgetting to bring it. My solution? I don't wear a watch anymore. The airplane's going to have a clock, my car has a clock, my phone has a clock, if I pay even the slightest attention, I'm not going to be late or even slightly tardy because of it. My goal is to have enough SA so that I don't need a watch at any given time.

I have a Breitling Cosmonaute, and am getting an Emergency. Careful, watches are a very costly hobby...

are you buying it for accuracy or for the visual? I was given an Omega a few years ago (worth north of $3000) and it is accurate within :30 a day. The Timex Triathalon is always right on.

Never saw the point in spending more than around 500 bucks on a watch. I picked up a Citizen Nighthawk for around 250, has an E6-B built in and everything. So far so good.

I still fly with mine that was issued to me in 1997. Just have replaced the bands a few times and the battery twice.

I have one, every two year you have to pay a fortune to get new batteries in it and get the whole thing checked. 121.5 is not used anymore and Breitling does not have any plan to upgrade mine....

where I live I can`t wear it (Brazil)....
