Was told by EM that we'd start hearing things in August or September in terms of what needs refreshing and all. Was also given a range of Jan to Mar for our facilities.

I sent in my change of address twice, since we're going ahead and moving from Nashville to St. Louis, but I still haven't gotten a confirmation from AQ yet. I need to know it was received in the event I actually get an FOL!

I quietly passed my two year application anniversary on June 29th, then subsequently tore my ACL the next day at a company softball game. This could be an interesting few months.

I finally got a call back from AQ this morning... and it wasn't good news. Preliminary numbers have my facility down as having no slots for FY2011, as well as a large portion of the Central terminal region. She asked if I'd be willing to accept a redirect, but with a wife establishing residency to go to grad school, I can't do that. Looks like I'll be waiting until October 2011 now... and once the numbers officially come in, and I know for sure that my 2010/2011 is screwed as well, I'll start a new thread.

This means that if I get a slot in FY2012, I will have waited three years for a training date. I'm currently second in line at my facility, too, and it's a small facility. I could be waiting a while. :(

Pssst... there are grad schools in every state in the union.

Yeah, there are... but with a wife that is very family-focused and who wants to be close to her family (part of the reason we moved to St. Louis), you can't just pick any state... it's basically St. Louis or Nashville, and Nashville is more backed up with folks waiting for class dates than all three STL facilities combined.

I just found out yesterday that ZFW has no slots for FY2011! :( Makes me sad...

I was just at ZFW today. I am currently at DFW TRACON and thought ZFW was a cool place, but there were alot of trainees there it seemed.

At the TRACON now? Are you by any chance familiar with an instructor named Brown? That'd be my father. Ha. My husband and I went in there with him a few months ago for a tour. We haven't been allowed in since 9/11, so that was cool. It'd be even cooler if we could get our geoprefs emails or something. :/

No way . That is amazing. Hopefully that means more good news is on the way. I sent AQ and email on Friday and haven't gotten a response yet. Maybe she is working on my date too. I can only hope.

Congratulations to you, UGH for me. As of last week, no need for my facility, not doing redirects yet. Call back in October. UGH.

Oh crap, I think I just kicked myself out.

gourgi18 - I had updated my address in the middle of last month because we moved, and AQ told me at that time that even preliminary numbers for FY2011 showed my facility had no hiring slots, but then she just randomly called me yesterday and offered me a class date that actually starts at the end of this fiscal year (even though I won't report to the facility until next FY)... so when HR says that hiring numbers can change on a daily basis, they aren't kidding. I was so flustered and in shock that I couldn't even think to ask her what had changed that gave me a class date when I had been told both last year and this year that I was out of luck until 2012.

I wanted to correct my previous post and change "AM" to "AQ", but I can't find the blasted Edit button.

Congrats, Jerms!

I was told shortly after my PEPC that I would also be put off until the next fiscal year, and yet got a call a few weeks later for a class in the current fiscal year. Like you said, just because they say one thing, doesn't make it absolute.
