His exact words were:
"I think Blackhawk is showing the ultimate "pulling up the ladder on the way up" attitude that is so prevalent in the senior elements of this profession."
In other words, he accused me of being some selfish person who is only looking out for number one.
I am a firm believer in charity, I have just seen how inefficient the government is at "charity". There are articles all the time on how some charities spend much of their money on overhead... but all of them pale in comparison to how wasteful the government is at managing a budget. And yes, I managed a government budget so I've seen it first hand. "Success" in managing a government budget would get someone in the private industry fired.
Also, I don't think it is "charity" by any stretch when someone from the government tells me I need to give up my shirt so the government can make 1/2 a pair of underwear that will fall apart after being worn once. Okay, so the analogy has been used by others, but I think it's a pretty good description of how the government handles "charity".
So my response to the person who decided to accuse me of being selfish and thoughtless of others on a public forum was a challenge to put his money where his mouth is.
