$995 Multi Special

I got my ME rating last week at ATP. 8 hours sim, 10 hours airplane (including checkride). Very pleased with my experience.

To those who are considering taking advantage over the special - if you have a chance, go to ATP's PHX location. Professional, knowledgeable instructors, well organized - you definitely get your $$'s worth.

Tip: before heading there, study the Supplement

Ok guys, the results are in and I am officially an ATP rated pilot.

The gouge is this; listen to the instructors. You will fly the route as practiced with few surprises. Truthfully my surprises were all self induced. The oral was basically aircraft specific and as brief as practicable. The examiner I had was an old bird who was very straight forward. He laid things out as he wanted to see them and then asked if I had any questions. After a very intense 1.6 hour flight that included four approaches, one hold, unusual attitudes, a few VFR maneuvers, and a no flap landing you are done.

All in all I got 5.6 in the actual airplane and nearly 8 hours in the sim learning flows and brushing up on procedures.

I was worried I would have an issue with my logbooks since I only have a spreadsheet now. My originals were stolen in April when my home was robbed. My worry was for naught. It was all such a painless and thorough I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. The instructors are great, the aircraft is great, and it's as straight up as you could ever hope.

Wow esa, sorry I didn't see this. Congrats!!

That is what I thought but my cousin's bestfriend's brother-in-law's uncle was trying to explain to me that atp issued a centerline thrust limitation ME rating. Now I can prove him wrong. There is not a limitation for the elimination of critical engine is there? which would be placed on the seminoles.

no such limitation exists.

Did they just get rid of that or something? I know a few people with the CLT on their certificate.

Thanks T-cart...timing isn't important.

I know I'm right because I read it on an internet forum!

Sheesh. Better bring something better than that to the table!

Don't get ahead of yourself, I'm pretty sure the CLT still exists. I'll get back to you.

It did as of about 1pm this afternoon when I was reading the PTS... Might have changed since then though. :insane:

I'd love to fly a Skymaster at any rate!

I made it through the CMEL add on. I'll type up my experience once I get some more sleep in me.

yeah, didn't plan on using only the info I had got on here to argue a point. Just looking for some input from anyone else who might have more knowledge on the subject. Its not like it is a heated debate, just hangar talk. Thanks for the wisdom though Cody.
