Damn Colgan pilots. Stealing our flying AND our message board?![]()
APC is a PNCL board?
If thats your board, this might as well be ours ;-)
And yes higney I quoted your post since I knew you were a P2P guy.
Was also on our company board.
I'm seriously thinking of just quitting the Airlink board altogether. The useful information on that board has become about 1% of the traffic where it used to be around 10-15%. Now, it's all become a bunch of guys complaining about how much their life sucks and how if anyone votes "yes" on the TA, we're scum sucking sell outs. We've already got one guy starting the "We're gonna get banned from jumpseats if we pass this" schtick.
Apparantly ALPA will cut MCD funding for PNCL ALPA if we don't approve the TA?
We'll lose Delta flying if we don't approve the TA?
Don't ask me - ask the Delta pilots that tell me this..... no idea what to believe anymore. :dunno:

What the hell is "MCD funding?" :dunno:
You have an Air Service Agreement (ASA) with Delta that won't allow this.
Here is a scenario I hope you consider for all the guys who believe in STFD. At this point in time you do not want to have the big new target on your back. While industry average might not seem like a lot right now it is a start in the right direction since your contract was last ratified in I believe 1999 to 2000 range. If you punt this one when other people are reducing frequency and pairings to cities all over the world due to a reccesionary economy God help you. There will be a motion at the next BOD of ALPA National to pull your authorization to the MCF immediately.
If the 9E's authorization to the MCF is pulled then enjoy the ride gentlemen. You think 5 years from ammendable date was a long time then just wait. The Company will have all the leverage they need to keep you in purgatory for eternity at that point.
I thought you might mean that, but I wasn't sure.
For starters, the ALPA BOD doesn't control MCF disbursements as your friend there states. It's controlled by the Executive Council and the Executive Board. I suppose the BOD could theoretically get involved, but they never have, and I guarantee they won't in this case.
As far as the EXCL or the EXBD cutting off funding, not a chance in hell. Remember, these are fellow pilots that control the funding, not lawyers and accountants. All of them are fellow line pilots that understand exactly what you're fighting for. They aren't going to cut your money. Besides, to be honest with you, PCL ALPA hasn't used hardly any MCF funding in the first place. I think it's been something like $200k total since it was approved 2.5 years ago. The PCL MEC has always run a very tight budget.
.... Hate to say it but... I told ya so...
Kell, can you clarify? What items are concessionary? First time I've heard that it's worse than current book.
I guess the reality of what is in the TA will begin to come out now...
No bueno
So I take it the honeymoon is over with then huh?
Good luck girls and boys, we're all counting on you.
