From what I understand many people at the PEPC don't have anything to do with actual facilities. They are just FAA employees.

Anyways several enroute candidates over on Stuck Mic have either already had interviews for an enroute position, or will have them prior to the PEPC date so your reasoning may be a bit flawed.

I'm willing to bet that one or more of the people you interview with at the PEPC will be from actual ARTCCs, if that were not the case, why would the FAA make me drive 4 hours to go to my traditional interview at an ARTCC, when there is an Up/Down 5 minutes from where I live.

No idea why they would do that(Has anyone figured out why they do anything?). If I come across the info again I'll post it
 
I was interviewed at the January LA PEPC by a tower manager from Washington, so if en route is the same as terminal, you will be interviewing with a manager or supervisor type.

So it is reasonable to believe that the ATM from ZOB or ZNY (or perhaps both) will be on hand at the Chicago PEPC to interview people selected by ARTCCs. Considering these people have a lot more to do than just interview new candidates, they may or may not have time to interview people going the traditional route before the PEPC.

My whole point was that at this early stage there is no point in getting worked up about not having an interview scheduled yet. If you still haven't heard within a reasonable amount of time after the PEPC, then it is time to get worried.

On another note, for those of us going to chicago. I booked the hyatt regency at priceline. I low balled and got $50/night (Captain Kirk is a great spokesman for priceline, he taught me not to be a 'namby pamby'). It's a four star hotel, all the fancy stuff, and is only a mile from 2300 Devon Ave. Check it out if you haven't booked yet.

I interviewed at Boston ARTCC yesterday for a position at the Los Angeles ARTCC. Logic that!

It was with a manager type, very similar questions to those already posted in the PEPC review, followed by a quick tour of the facility.

Oklahoma City called me today to find out where exactly I am living; the woman on the phone seemed to think it was incredible that I would pick a facility across the country from my current address. I didn't find it that unreasonable, but hey...:rolleyes:

Just saw someone got a call to have their interview this Thursday at ZNY.

While I LOVE my google chrome (use it PC people, it's awesome!) you can't access the eqwHip with it, you have to use either Mozilla or Internet Explorer (<--- which SUCKS!).

Mac's are for uppity-yuppity's who think they are better than everyone else! :p
 
Filling out eqwHip makes me want to rub shards of glass into my cornea.

We should all take pictures of our laptops when viewing pictures of laptops posted on JC. Eventually we would have a pretty cool laptop fractal that we could post to the museum of art. I have to say Doug, that was pretty suave.

I'm in. But it'll have to wait til my husband is done with the eqwhip for the night. I'm checking JC from my iPhone. Btw, he agrees with the glass shards. He's still on addresses, he's got like 10 in the last 7 years.

I feel you....I served a church mission for two years. I lived in 5 different placed during that time alone. After I got back 2 apartments and the house I live in now. Wait till he gets to the 'people section' ARGG
