Hah hah. Well, I went to high school in Niwot, grew up in Longmont, and went to college in Lincoln, NE and Greeley. And yes we have computers. It's funny you say it was rural cause it's sort of the rich area now. In fact, it's defnitely the rich area. Certainly more so than that turd factory Boulder.

Yes, we get it. You know people. You're buddies with every last person that works in the FAA and you have all the inside information. They made us fill out a long history of education and work experience just to waste our time.

I take the fact that the FAA publishes exactly ZERO information on their hiring process to mean that they don't really intend for you to know much about it. I freely admit that I don't know how it works.

You've obviously been on these forums long enough to see that every piece of information that someone posts is immediately contradicted by someone else who is equally confident and also claims to "know a guy".

I interpret that as no one, including myself, really knowing how it all works.

If you choose to take my disagreement as some kind of personal insult at you for daring to question your omniscience of the FAA's inner circle, then I am sorry for offending you.

I'm guessing from your jabs at sixthman that you're mostly here to just pick fights with people.

Colorado really isn't expensive at all. But as far as Boulder goes, I've lived next to it for 17 years and I can honestly say, those people are insane and out of touch with reality. 4/20 is a major holiday there. That about summarizes the entire town.

Just make sure not to have a 5 yr old daughter that does beauty pagents, and one should be safe living there.

Lots of time in cruise flight = lots of time to browse USAToday and contemplate factoids.
 
Amen on Boulder. That place is a town unlike any other. That's the only downside I see about getting picked up for Denver Center is living 40 miles closer to Boulder :) Niwot freakin rules though. I love that place.

Prospect may be cooler though, with all those weird buildings and street names.

Hah hah. I hate Prospect. It's a fake town that likes to pretend they're real. They do have a dynamite barbecue place though. And a good cafe, except they charge an arm and a leg for an omelet.
 
Yeah, it seems like the kind of "town" that would think artificially high of itself. Creative little patch of land they've got out there though.
 
has anyone heard any news even from avaition careers line? man im getting anxious I didn't get selected for pubnat 3 and 4 now im worried I wont get selected for 5-6 ahhhh.

I feel ya, I got passed up on 4 too. I haven't heard anything yet though...
 
Should I assume you picked Florida? I've certainly heard nothing. From historical trends, it looks like it's usually a couple of weeks after panels that people start hearing things. So I'm not really expecting to know anything this week.
 
well ive been checking asap once a day for it to tell me that i suck and i should go the military route and it hasnt done that yet so guess we still need to just wait and see.hopefully my monday asap will be updated with the sorry you suck or hey congrats now continue the waiting.
 
From what I've read on here, you only get the ASAP message if it's a no. If it's a yes, you get an email with your facility and PEPC invite. In other words, ASAP can only disappoint you lol.

ill still continue to check it. id rather know before hand if i didnt get selected then wait until i see everyones post saying i got zny or mco or that stuff where i just feel horible.:(
